

Fish, James E., of Knoxville, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2015. He loved woodworking, all around handyman, avid golfer, and gun enthusiast. Preceded in death by parents, Herman D. and Hazel Fish, of NY; daughter, Lisa Mary Fish; sister, Elsie Gentile, Homer, Jack, John, and Thomas Fish. He was retired from the Air Force and the Air National Guard with years of service from 1956-1988. He was of the Baptist Faith. He ranked E-8 Senior Master Sargeant and received an Airman Medal for the highest medal received without being wounded for being the first to respond on the scene of a helicopter crash. Survived by wife Linda Taylor-Fish; children, Rebecca Lorimer and husband Dennis, Stephanie Macias, James H.L. Fish and wife Cheryl; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; 2 step children, Chris Gunnell and wife Suzanne, and Vicki Clark; granddaughter, Taylor Nicole Clark; 4 step grandchildren; brothers, Larry and Darlene, Bill and Sandy, and Randy and Emily. He was a loving husband and father. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm Monday, June 1, 2015 with the funeral service to follow with Pastor Gary Chandler officiating at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Dr. Family and friends will meet at Greenwood Cemetery by 11:45 am on Tuesday, June 2nd for the graveside service, with military honors, starting at noon.
