

James (Jim) Elmore Chambers passed away in Knoxville, Tennessee on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at the age of 71. Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Alonzo Lawrence Chambers and Sherma Ann Elmore Chambers, and favorite pet “Spot.”
Jim is survived by his children: Lisa Sharp and husband Buck, Jeff Chambers and wife Kelly, Vikki Dudley and husband Chad; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his brother, Lawrence Rowe Chambers and wife Jibby; one niece; one nephew and several cousins.
Jim was born in St. Louis, Missouri on July 3, 1944. He graduated from Knoxville Catholic High School and worked for Lucent Technologies his entire career. He enjoyed the retired life living in East Tennessee on Norris Lake where he was affectionately known as “The Mayor.” This suited him well since he was the life of the party. He will be remembered with a smile on his face and having lived a happy life.
The family will receive friends at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Drive Knoxville, Tennessee 37918 on Saturday, April 23rd from 2:00-4:00pm with a private family service following.
