Paul graduated from the University of Tennessee and enjoyed NASCAR, dirt racing, UT football and basketball, the Braves, and dearly loved and supported his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed cars and still has the restored ’59 Volkswagen in which he and Patti dated. Paul was a faithful member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church for 48 years and was actively involved in the Sunday School Express class. He also kept the toddlers in the nursery for more than 20 years.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Patti, who never left his side. Daughter, Susan (Don) McClanahan, son Andy (Lori) Wallace and his loving grandchildren, SarahBeth, Lily, Zac, Caleb, Tucker, Bailey and Griffin. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, and friend. Special thanks to those that lovingly cared for him at Fort Sanders, Select Specialty, Life Care Center of Blount County and Park West Hospital.
The family will receive friends Sunday, November 11, 2108 from 6 – 8 pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Drive. Funeral to follow at 8 pm with Rev. Kent Williams and Rev. Randy Macon officiating. A private graveside service will be held at Lynnhurst Cemetery.
