Jamie Faye Thompson, age 73, of Knoxville, passed away on August 12, 2016. She was a faithful, loving, caring, patient, wife and mother, a committed and loyal sister and friend, "the cool" Grandmamma and aunt. She was a devout Christian, and continually supported many charities simply because they asked for her support. Her love of life, husband, children, family, her church, and friends, was only surpassed by her love of Jesus, her Lord, and at certain times, the UT Vols. If you knew her, you know she loved you. She was excited to see her mother and sad to leave us bereft. This is not "goodbye", but "we'll see you when we get home.” Survived by husband of 51 years, Clyde Thompson; son, Kevin Thompson and wife Michelle; daughter, Kelli Piper and husband, Danny Wayne; grandsons, Jordan Piper, Taylor Littleton, and Carter Sheldon; granddaughter, Haley Piper and Tiffany Littleton; brothers, Olin Morris (Sandy), Ed Morris (Judy), John Morris (Barbara), Doug Morris (Sherry); sisters, Violet Pleasant (Norman) and Carole Morris; sisters-in-law, Marie Fife and Carolyn Monn; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm with the funeral service to follow at 7 pm Sunday in the chapel of Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Drive. Rev. Mike Segers will officiate. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 am on Monday for an 11 am Interment at Lynnhurst Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.berrylynnhurst.com
