Jason Jeremey Gleicher, age 50, of Knoxville, TN passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2024. He was born in Albuquerque, NM in 1973 and graduated from Del Norte High School in 1993. Jeremey played little league baseball with Altamont Little League. During high school, he was active on the wrestling team, student government, and DECA club. After high school, Jeremey received a scholarship and attended Eastern New Mexico State University where he was a member of the SAE fraternity. His first job was in middle school where he worked as a farm hand and hay bailer on his Aunt Kathy and Uncle Ken's farm in Belen, NM. He also worked at Cliff's Amusement Park in Albuquerque. Jeremey went on to work in San Diego as a clerk at Henry's, Vons, and Rite Aid. He moved to Knoxville in 2013 where he worked at Burger King and Big Lots.
Jeremey was a lifelong lover of animals especially, Zoey the Husky. He enjoyed watching New York Islanders hockey, Chicago Cubs baseball, and TN Vols football. Jeremey's hobbies included playing pinball games and all types of arcade games. He loved spending time with his nephews. Jeremey's kind and gentle nature was his calling card. He never knew a stranger and everyone who met him, loved him.
Jeremey was preceded in death by grandparents, Margaret and Alfred Cordova, Doris and George Gleicher; beloved pet, Scout. He is survived by parents, Christine and Michael Gleicher; sister, Kara (Bob) Sircy; brother, Matthew (Ann Marie) Gleicher; nephews, Archie and August Sircy; aunts and uncles, Kathy and Ken Wright, Don and Claudia Gleicher.
Family will receive friends Sunday, January 28th beginning at 2pm with Celebration of Life at 3pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home. Reception will take place from 2pm until 5pm. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Young Williams Animal Center at www.young-williams.org.
