Jerry Bowers

Bowers, Jerry (Gator), age 54, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord Sunday, June 24, 2012. Mr. Bowers was a 32 year member of Iron Workers Local Union 384 Knoxville and was owner and founder of J. Bowers Excavating. He was a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason and was a member of Skekinah Lodge #524. He attended Grace Baptist Church and worked at Oak Ridge Plant sites for several years. Preceded in death by parents, James M. Bowers and Roxie M. Bowers; brothers, Vernon James Bowers, Paul Albert Bowers; twin brother, Gary Bowers; brother, Ronnie Bowers; and wife, Loette Bowers.

Survived by daughter, Samantha Bowers; brother and sister-in-law, Terry and Debby Bowers;brother, Charles Bowers; sister, Margaret Bowers; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; friend and companion, Linda Saia.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, June 27, 2012 from 5 – 8 pm at Lynnhurst- Greenwood Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 8 pm, Rev. Bill Moore officiating. Family and friends will meet at Lynnhurst Chapel Thursday, June 28, 2012 at 11:15 am to travel in procession to Asbury Cemetery for the graveside service.
