ROSENBAUM, JESSIE CATE - age 97, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2013. Jessie was a member of Central Baptist Church of Fountain City where she was known by the children as the "candy lady". She was retired from Standard Knitting Mills after 37 years of service. Preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Cecil Rosenbaum; her parents, Marshal and Ida Cate; four sisters and one brother. Survived by many special and loving nieces; nephews; great nieces; and great nephews; two sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law; and many dear friends. The family would like to express a special thank you to the owners and staff of L & L Sweet Home Care for the great and loving care Jessie was given. Funeral services will be at 7:00 p.m,. Sunday, February 17, with Rev. Ron Mouser officiating. Family and friends will meet at 1:00 p.m., Monday, at Lynnhurst Cemetery for interment services. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m,. Sunday, at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Central Baptist Church of Fountain City, 5364 N. Broadway, Knoxville, TN 37918.
