Jewell Lucille Ayers, age 73, of Caryville, passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at home. She was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Joe Denver (Bud) Ayers; daughter, Christy Joyce Ayers; and brother, Virgil Bolton. Survived by daughters, Cheryl Ayers and partner Lisa Blackmon; Susan McNeeley and husband Steve; Donna Kennedy and husband Perry; son, Sam Ayers and wife Betty; grandchildren, Tiffany Jewel Ayers and fiancee Michael W. Jones; Jennifer Arnold and husband Daniel; Kellie McNeeley; Jeremy Kennedy; Allen Ayers; Samantha Ayers; great grandson, Jace Denver Jones; sister, Ella Sue Barrett; brother, Jimmy Bolton and wife Henrietta; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial service will be Sunday, January 31, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Walnut Grove Baptist Church, 7211 Stinking Creek Rd. with Pastor Bill Loy and Pastor Carl “Gomer” Bryant officiating.
