Jewell Faye Eubanks

July 13, 1932December 30, 2020

Jewell Faye Caldwell Eubanks, born July 13, 1932, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at U.T. Memorial Hospital after a short illness. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend whose greatest joy in life was to serve her Lord and Savior through music. Jewell learned to play the piano at the age of 9 by practicing on a cardboard keyboard in a windowsill because her family could not afford a piano. She shared her gift to bring honor and glory to God as the devoted pianist at West Lonsdale Baptist Church for over 64 years. Jewell worked for over 50 years as cashier at Bearden High School where she often played Christmas carols in the school cafeteria for the students and staff. She lived out her faith as a volunteer at the Western Heights Baptist Center and the Lost Sheep Ministry food truck, as well as, participating in a multitude of other mission’s ministries throughout her life. Jewell was a dedicated and loyal servant of God and is now accompanying the choir of angels in heaven. She was preceded in death by: parents, Ivory Grady and Grace Fowler Caldwell; husband of 64 years, Robert Lee Eubanks; son, Larry Wayne Eubanks; brothers, Joe and Leon Caldwell. She is survived by: daughter, Gail (Ron) Jackson of Little Rock, AR; son Bob (Pam) Eubanks of Knoxville; grandsons, Rob and Russ (Mandy) Jackson of Little Rock, AR; great grandchildren, Avery, Maggie and Major Jackson of Little Rock, AR, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. The family extends a special thanks to Rev. Jeff Johnson and family, and UT Hospital’s Trauma ICU and 8 East nurses for their loving care. A memorial service celebrating the life of Jewell will be held at West Lonsdale Baptist Church in the future when it is determined to be safe from Covid19. Memorials can be made to West Lonsdale Baptist Church Music Ministry or to the Fountain City Presbyterian Church Music Scholarship Fund. Online condolences may be extended at www.berrylynnhurst.com
