Dawson, John Alden, Sr., age 73, of Corryton, passed away Sunday, May 29, 2011 at home. Member of Fellowship Baptist Church. He was a veteran of U.S. Army and retired from AutoZone. Preceded in death by parents; Dr. Henry C. Dawson, Sr. and Ida Dunbar Dawson. Survivors include: wife; Geneva Lynch, sons; Danny Ray Dawson, John Dawson, Jr. and wife Sharon, Bill Dawson, and Henry Carroll Dawson, daughters; Rose Mary Dawson, and Sharon Blalock. Ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Sisters; Barbara Dawson Moye and Ida Dawson Newsom, brother; Henry C. Dawson, Jr. Several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 31, 2011 before the 11 AM funeral service in the Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with Marlin Lynch officiating.
