Wells, Joyce Elizabeth, age 88, of Knoxville, TN, peacefully passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at UT Medical Center. She was born in Harlan, Kentucky on August 9, 1927 to the late Eunice and William Ramey. Joyce was a beloved member of Sharon Baptist Church where she was a Sunday school teacher and choir member for 40 years. Preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Glenn V. Wells; sisters, Patsy Ina Berry-McMahan and Betty Dowden. Survived by her three children, Beverly Coppock (Pat), Ricky Wells (Lisa), and Jamie R. Wells; grandchildren, Ryan Coppock, Katlin Plumlee, and Kelsey Plumlee; great granddaughters, Ava Plumlee and Addyson Plumlee; sister, Billie Bedwell, and brother, Frank Ramey. Special thanks to special friend and caregiver, Pam Wright. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 p.m. Thursday, September 3, 2015 with the Celebration of Life to follow at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Dr. with Pastor Mark McCoig and Dr. Jim Robertson officiating.
