Hamilton, Kathy Haeusler, of Knoxville, born February 12, 1954 in Oak Ridge, TN to Joann Mae and Kenneth Roger Haeusler, passed away Monday, March 12, 2012 after a hard fought battle with pancreatic cancer. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church. She worked as a Secretary serving Salem Baptist Church for 15 years and the past 8 years as the Secretary of West Hills Baptist Church. She graduated from Central High School and the University of Tennessee with a degree in Business Administration. She was an in-depth student of the Bible. Often when you called the church offices, Kathy was the first voice you heard and she handled each call with compassion and love. Kathy was a longtime mentor and program assistant for A Hand Up for Women helping many women through crisis situations. Kathy often said “It’s not about me,” and she lived her life in that way. We will remember her as being soft spoken, strong, witty, with a quick smile and a tender heart for others. Preceded in death by her mother, Joann.
Survived by father Kenneth Haeusler; 4 children who also share her love of Christ, Kelly (Daniel) Hull, Kristin (Travis) Edmondson, Katy (Jon) Kelley, and Samuel Hamilton.
