Katie L. Roberts, age 87 of Knoxville, passed away on March 18, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents Jessie and Elsie Cummings, and her husband Lloyd Walker Roberts. Mrs. Roberts was a member of Lonsdale United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was a retired bookkeeper for the Knoxville General Sessions Court.
Survivors include her children: Billy Roberts, Sandy Burroughs (Wallace) and Darrell Roberts (Robbin); seven grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of cherished friends.The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5:00 – 7:00 pm in the chapel of Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home. The Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 pm. with Rev. Elaine Ruth and Rev. Paul Trumpore officiating. Burial will be held on Thursday at 1:00 pm in Greenwood Cemetery.
