

Calloway, Linda Gail, 67, formerly of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015 in Lexington, South Carolina. Visitation will be Friday, June 12 at 10:00 A.M. at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home in Knoxville, followed by a graveside service at 11:00 A.M. at Lynnhurst Cemetery. Born on October 2, 1947 in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Linda was the daughter of the late Clarence Ray Calloway and Velma Gant Calloway Davis. She grew up in Clinton, Tennessee, where she attended First Baptist Church and Clinton Schools. A talented and hard-working woman, she held several different kinds of jobs, including waitress, floral designer, and office worker. She was a long-time employee of Shields Electronics in Knoxville. Linda loved the Lord, her church choir, and her family and friends. She was a beautiful person with a sunny smile, a ready laugh, and a kind spirit. Even as dementia claimed so many of her abilities, she kept smiling and communicating with her lovely blue eyes. The family expresses heartfelt gratitude to Linda’s loving caregivers at Lexington Medical Center Extended Care and Tri-County Hospice. Linda is survived by her brother Gary Calloway (Mary Ann) of Lexington, SC; nephew Joshua Calloway (Charlotte) and great-nephew Samuel Calloway, all of Summerville, SC; niece Rachel Calloway of Lexington, SC; step-brother David Davis of Lexington, SC; step-mother Margie Calloway of Clinton, TN; step-sister Charllet Owens of Knoxville, TN; aunt Louise Farmer of Knoxville, TN; aunt Vera Bridges of Sardis, TN; and aunt Ruby Ridley (Curtis) of Gallatin, TN.
