Louise W Widby

Louise W. Widby, age 96, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Tuesday, November 16, 2021. She was a long time member of Arlington Baptist Church. Louise spent many years actively serving in the Knoxville Chapter of Eastern Star. She was an outstanding sports mom as she loved to watch her multi-talented All American son, Ron, play at UT and then professionally. After the passing of her husband of 64 years, her loving daughter, Barbara became her closest companion.

Preceded in death by her husband, George Widby; son, Ronald Widby; great granddaughter, Blakely Cummins; parents, Sam and Anna Wilson, three sisters, Barbara Simpson, Yvonne Smith, Judy Smith and one brother, Marvin "Buddy" Wilson. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Patrick Cummins; daughter-in-law, Debbie Widby of Dallas, TX; grandsons, Randy and Kathy Cummins of Louisville, KY, Alan Cummins of Knoxville, Scott Widby of Frisco, TX, Craig Widby of Chicago, IL; great grandchildren, Chase Cummins, Averi (Brian) Winner, Rachel (Mitch) Mitchell, Ian Cummins, Aidan Widby and Kellan Widby; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Joan Widby, Tony and Gwyn Earl.

Special thanks to the staff of Renaissance Terrace Assisted Living for all their loving care to Louise and the family.

The family will receive friends from 1-2pm with the funeral service at 2pm Monday, November 22nd at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Earl officiating. Interment will follow services at Lynnhurst Cemetery.
