I just wanted to take a minute to share some info about my Mom. When we were trying to find the words for her obit, such a long and full life but so hard to put into words. My Mom was the strongest woman I've ever known. She went thru so much in her life. Grew up during the depression, was picked up in a limo by K25 to go to work, since WW2 was going on and they didn't have enough people to work. She walked to work in downtown Knoxville. She worked in a factory (Palm Beach) making men's suits, she was a telephone operator, she worked in the "fur room" at Millers on Henley and was eventually secretary to the president of Millers. She rode on a train, with 2 small children, with Chicken Pox, from California to Knoxville - by herself. She nursed 2 husbands, until their death. The stories go on and on. The saddest one was where she spoke often about how hard it is to live so long- you see most of your family members and friends pass away. She kept all those obituaries that she cut out of the paper, all the cards anyone gave her and a gazillion photos. I miss her more than I can say. Hope you're up there dancing with daddy. I love you. Lisa
