Catha, Martha Byars, age 76, of Powell, passed away Wednesday, August 28, 2013. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church of Powell. Preceded in death by husbands, Wayne Byars, and Buddy Catha; son, Max Byars; granddaughter, Brandi Byars; her parents, Russell and Iva Bivens; 1 brother and 3 sisters.Survived by daughter, Jo Mock and husband Ted; son, Brad Byars and wife Gail; special daughter, Minna Green; grandchildren, Randi Cross and husband Jason, Michael Mock and wife Jamie, Brandon Byars and wife Dana Jo, Beth Marvel and husband Caleb; 6 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Betty Stanfield and Patsy Bradshaw.The family will receive friends from 2 – 3 pm Friday at the Curtis Hutson Chapel of Temple Baptist Church in Powell. The Memorial Service will follow at 3 pm with Pastor Clarence Sexton and Dave Rosser officiating. Interment will be in Bearden, Arkansas.
