MITCHELL, MARTHA C., age 88, of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, June 10, 2017 at home. She was a member of Knoxville First Seventh-day Adventist Church and retired from Department of Energy on February 28, 1984. Her life work after retirement was caring for grandchildren. Preceded in death by parents, Elba and Cora Collins; brothers, Jerry, Donald and Charles Collins; sisters, Thelma Collins, Ruth Rounsaville and Helen Barto. Survivors include husband of 67 years, Glenn E. Mitchell; sons, Andy Mitchell and wife, Dana, Bill Mitchell and wife, Kimberly; grandchildren, Cody, Drew, Will and Seth Mitchell. The family will receive friends from 6 – 7 P.M. Tuesday with a memorial service to follow at 7 P.M. at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Dr. with Pastor Don Pate and Pastor Mark Swearingen officiating.
