Mary Carolyn B. Williams, 84, of Knoxville, TN, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at Concord Place Memory Care. Carolyn was born and raised in Knoxville, spending a brief time in Florida as a teenager before returning home to pursue her calling in healthcare. She attended St. Mary's School of Nursing and went on to serve patients with dedication and care at Park West Medical Center, where she worked as a nurse in the day surgery department.
It was at Lonsdale Baptist Church in her youth that Carolyn met the love of her life, Jack Williams, and the two shared a devoted marriage of sixty-one years. In their later years, they worshipped together at West Hills Baptist Church, where their faith remained a quiet and steady anchor.
Carolyn had a gentle and generous spirit that extended to all living things. She adored animals and cherished the many dogs that were part of her life over the years. Her family was her greatest joy, and she was blessed with a treasured circle of lifelong girlfriends whose friendship she held dear. She found beauty and purpose in her garden, in her cross stitching, and in creative projects of every kind. Carolyn leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and warmth. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to call her friend.
