Matthew William McGaha, Jr., age 78, of Knoxville, passed away Friday, January 24, 2025 peacefully surrounded by his family. He was a member of Greenway Baptist Church. Matt was the founder and President of McGaha Electric Company. He was a Veteran of U.S. Army and served during the Vietnam War.
Preceded in death by parents, Matthew, Sr. and Betty V. McGaha.
Survived by wife, Teressa McGaha; sons, Matthew McGaha III (Lindsay), Jayce McGaha, and Isaiah McGaha; grandson, Colton McGaha; brothers, Dennis (Vicki), Ronnie (Suzie), Greg (Becky), and Tim (Janet); numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, Jim Rogers, James Pritchett and Reed Webb.
The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 pm Thursday with the funeral service to follow at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 Adair Drive. Rev. Steve Lakin will officiate. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 am for the 11 am Friday graveside service at Lynnhurst Cemetery. Rev Jeff McMurray will officiate.
