Gleisner, Michael A., age 47, left his earthy home to be with our Lord and Savior on Thursday, July 15, 2010. He courageously battled esophageal cancer before going on to our everlasting home where he now has a new and perfect body. Michael was born in Libertyville, IL and later moved to Knoxville, TN but remained an avid Chicago Bears fan. He was known for his quick wit, gentle spirit and affectionate nature. He will be deeply missed by his survivors, the love of his life and wife, Angela Long Gleisner of Knoxville; daughters, Lorinda M. Gleisner of Knoxville, Shanna N. Gleisner of Lenoir City; son Zachary A. Gleisner of Lenoir City and bonus son Sterling A. Long of Knoxville. ; parents, Murel and Kay Gleisner of Mars Hill, NC; sisters and brothers in law, Kim and Sam Lloyd and Dawn and Tommy Woolf both of Mars Hill, NC.
The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm Saturday at Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel. The funeral service will be Sunday at 2 pm in the chapel with Rev. Ron Mouser officiating.
