

Michael (Mike) D. Shoffner 58 passed away Monday at UT Medical Center from complications of a thoracic aortic aneurysm. He passed away peacefully with his family by his side. Mike was a member of Cokesbury United Methodist Church.
Mike lived in Knoxville, went to Farragut High School and Hiwassee College. He worked at Coldwell Bankers but most of his career was spent at D.F. Shoffner Mechanical Contractors. Mike was an NFL and an avid UT Fan. He enjoyed boating, fishing, golfing and going to the beach. Mike enjoyed going to casinos playing black jack and crazy four; and joking and hanging out with all his friends. Mike always had a smile on his face, kind to everyone he met and a heart of gold. Mike loved his boys and family.
He is survived by his mother Glenda Shoffner, son Austin Shoffner, sister Kim Walters and her husband Steve McKinney, niece Hillary Little (Randy), grandniece Eliana, nephew Phil Walters, cousins Kathy Cheek and Summer Crawford; and many other cousins; and his pet cat, Smokey. Mike was preceded in death by his father Douglas F. Shoffner and his son Michael Shoffner.
Pallbearers: Phillip Knight, Steve Kuberek, Jeff Fields, Scott Greene, Shannon Sharpe, Bobby Lovelace.
The family will receive friends Saturday, September 4th from 1-2:30pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 W. Adair Dr. Knoxville, TN 37918. Following receiving of friends at Berry Lynnhurst, a funeral service will be held at 2:30pm by Stephen DeFur. The graveside service will follow at Lynnhurst Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to Cokesbury Recovery.
