Owens, Nell Lee, age 81, formerly of Vansant, VA was called home on December28, 2011. She joined her husband, Clinard; mother and father, Mary and Emmit Lee; and her brothers, James and Billy. She was also preceded in death by many other family members and friends.
Nell leaves behind her daughter, Barbara J. Wagner and husband James; son, Danny Owens and wife Wilma; four grandsons, Jamison L. Bowman and wife Angela, Scott A. Bowman and wife Christy, William Wagner and wife Hayley, and Adam C. Owens; 6 great-grandchildren, Shaun, Braydon, Lara, Alex, Jamison Lee, and James Hayden. She also leaves behind five brothers, Odell, Elganor, Phillip, Marsh, and Bobby Lee.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm with the funeral service at 2 pm Friday at the Hurst-Scott Funeral Home, 1401 2nd Street, Richlands, VA 24641 with Pastor Buddy Herold officiating. Following the service, she will be buried beside her husband, Clinard, at Greenhills Memory Gardens in Claypool Hills, VA.
