From typing the biography we put in our picture album at Shannondale Retirement Center, I got a preview of the highlights of Mr. Champion's special life.It was my privilege to hear him share in the joy of his Honor Air visit to D.C. And I enjoyed assisting him by putting on the computer the charts he drew for Sundry Shop records--and to try to encourage him not to become distraught when the volunteer's cash box did not balance to the penny. I was delighted with his glass art and I am pleased to have one of his red apples hanging in my window.

I was blessed to come to know Mr. Champion. He truly was a wonderful friend and such an inspiration. His smile lit up the room and will continue to live on in my heart. He was proud of and loved his family and for this it made him a man to be respected. You are gone from your earthly body, but you will never be gone from the hearts of those who were blessed to know you. Respectfully......
