Norma Greene

Norma Jean Greene, age 92, of Knoxville, Tennessee went to be with the Lord surrounded by family on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. Norma was a longtime member of Wallace Memorial Baptist Church and the first person to get married at the church. With her husband, Tommy, by her side, they owned Greene's Insurance Agency and she spent her career as a real estate agent and managed the office. In her spare time, she enjoyed working in her flower beds. Norma loved being surrounded by her family and was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.

Norma was preceded in death by her loving husband, Tommy Eugene Greene, parents, Charles and Mabel Vermillion; son, Tommy Greene, Jr.; sisters, Jewel Adams, Shirley Merrell, and Debbie Garrison. She is survived by her daughter, Tammy (Daryl) Guinn; grandchildren, Tiffany (Jim) Ogle, Joshua Guinn and fiance, Jess, Kayla (Jay-De) Smart; great grandchildren, Macie and Jimmy Ogle, Aiden, Colton and Kingsley Smart; sister, Elizabeth Dalton; several nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Tuesday, August 27, 2024 from 5-7pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home with a memorial service to follow at 7pm with Rev. Pam Neal officiating. Committal service will be Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at 2:00 pm meeting at East Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery, 2200 E Governor John Sevier Hwy, Knoxville, TN 37920 at 1:45 pm.
