Pauline N Griswold

Griswold, Pauline C. (Polly), surrounded by loving family, peacefully passed away on May 16 after an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband Denny Griswold, her parents Maude and Terry Childress, her sister and brother in law Irene and Bob Ellison, brother in law Huey Woods, sister in law Daisy Childress and nephew Ed Griswold. She is survived by her son Matt Griswold and daughter in law Tweedie Griswold, and her loved grandchildren Stuart Griswold and his wife Lindsay, Drew Griswold and his wife Erin and Allan Griswold, all of Atlanta, sister Juanita Woods, brother Marshall Childress and his wife Elizabeth, brother in law Richard Griswold and his wife Sharon and numerous dear nephews and nieces. Polly and Denny were loyal members of the Inskip United Methodist Church for many years where Polly was an active member of the Methodist Women’s organization. A very talented and accomplished craftsperson, her needlepoint art works will be cherished in the family for generations ahead. The family wishes to thank the wonderful people and staff at the Northhaven Health Care Center for their devotion, loving care and many acts of kindness over the years for Polly and our family.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 22, from 5-7 pm at Lynnhurst/Greenwood Chapel of Berry Funeral Home on Adair Drive in Fountain City. On Thursday, May 23, there will be a brief gravesite service at Greenwood Cemetery at 1 pm officiated by Dr. W. David Lewis, pastor of the Inskip United Methodist Church.
