Ralph Hobart Long

Ralph Hobart Long, age 89, of Knoxville, Tennessee passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at Sacred Ground Hospice House. He was born December 13, 1934. Ralph was a truck driver for a total of 53 years including 35 years with Exxon. He was very active in the classic car community and loved participating in car shows at every opportunity.

Ralph was preceded in death by wife, Helen; parents, Gillis and Cleo Long; sister, Mary Ruth McGinnis. He is survived by loving companion, Peggy White; daughter, Donna Long; sister, Peggy Booker; brother-in-law, Earl McGinnis; nephews, Steve Long, Randy (Rhonda) Booker, Kevin McGinnis; niece, Amy (Scott) Anderson; extended family, Doug and Pamela Pullin; granddaughters of his heart, Olivia and Natalie Pullin; a multitude of cousins and friends including special cousins, Butch and Tammy Capps.

The family would like to thank the staff of Sacred Ground Hospice House for their kindness and care.

Family will receive friends Saturday, December 16th from 1-3pm at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home with graveside service immediately following at Lynnhurst Cemetery. Rev. Gary Capps officiating. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Sacred Ground Hospice House in Ralph's memory.
