Robert Earl Johnson

Robert Earl Johnson, age 81, of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, February 11, 2017. He was a member and deacon of Graveston Baptist Church of Corryton. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and a man who walked with God. Preceded in death by wife, Vivian Annette Johnson and parents Dafron and Edna Johnson. Survived by son, Ricky Johnson and wife Janie; daughter, Melinda Denton and husband Mark; grandchildren: Allison Thomas and husband Shaun; Josh Johnson and wife Chelsey; Mandy Turner; great-granddaughter, Ava Thomas; loving companion, Shirley Reardon; brother, Archie Johnson and wife Ann; sister, Carole Steele and husband Bill; and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Tuesday at Graveston Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow at 8:00 PM. Rev. Sean Watson, Pastor Mark Brackney and Rev. Herbert Jones will officiate. Family and friends will meet at Greenwood Cemetery on Wednesday for an 11:00 AM interment.
