Roy R. (Jerry) Scott, age 71, of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2016 at home. Jerry had been part of the Fountain City community for 48 years. He owned and operated Fountain City Auto Clinic. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Katherine Scott; son Jeffrey J. Scott; and brothers, Wayne and Bobby Scott. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Nelda Scott; son Jerry Scott and wife Robin; daughter, Tammie Rouse and husband, David; grandchildren: Matthew Scott and wife Brittany; Luke Scott; Heather Rouse; and Kristen Rouse; brother, Ronnie Gay; sisters-in-law: Donna Scott, Maxine Scott, Pamela Hassler, and Rose Tressler; life-long friends, Ray and Gail Bryant, Charlie Truan, and Steve Bishop. Jerry had many other friends and relatives and loyal customers. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 W. Adair Drive.
