Ruth Cate

Cate, Ruth Holt, born June 3, 1929 in Newport, Tennessee, left this earthly home to be with the Lord and her loved ones in her new heavenly home. She was the daughter of the late Julie and Gleason Holt. Preceded in death by son, Larry Cate. She is survived by her loving husband, Charles Cate of 67 years; sons, Terry Cate and wife Dorothy, Joel Cate and wife Lisa, Brett Cate and wife Janet; daughters, Teresa Brown and husband Sam, Regina Key and husband Bob, and Mara Martin; daughter-in-law, Janice Cate; grandchildren, Doug McCloud, Adam Cate, Ryan Key, Catelyn Key, Christian Cate, Devon Edmisten, Bayley Cate, Fendi Martin, Vincent Martin, Chris Brown, and Samantha Tabor; great grandchildren, Cassandra and Alex McCloud, Raighan Edmisten, and Ellie Tabor; a special thanks to niece Dorothy Myers and also Smoky Mountain Hospice. The family will have a private memorial service for the immediate family.
