Mr.Sam was my best friend. I pushed him at mountain man and he was the first runner across the line. No one knows how much I miss him. He was so active in his community. He was so friendly he never met a stranger. He was very into church and giving back. I want to be like him when I grow up. He will be missed to the gold star familys, everyone he knew and me. He treated me like I was his great great granddaughter. Blood has no meaning when it comes to family and how much they mean to you.

I first met Sam many years ago while volunteering at the Halls Food Pantry. He was always so kind and loving to me and an absolute inspiration with everything he did at his age. I nominated him for a Covenant Platinum Award and we had a fun day at the awards event, but to this day I don't know how he didn't win! I am forever grateful for his love and friendship and I will miss all of his jokes that only he could tell. There was no one like him and we are all blessed to have known Sam.

Mr Sam was one of a kind. He was so considerate and sent me a birthday card every year and a mother's day card this year. He spoke to my Ageing class every fall and he was a true example of successful ageing. I was blessed to have hime as a friend.
