A beautiful person and soul, with a smile that lit up a room, Sheron “Sherry” Wade passed away on October 05, 2026. Affectionately known also as “Momma” and “Nana”, her hugs verse vessels of comfort and love. Her walk with God was steadfast, flowing into her love for her husband, Don. They were always together, holding hands, while building a life and incredible family. A true prayer warrior who was deep seated in her faith, she sought to show Christ to her family by exemplifying His kindness and grace.
Born and raised in Knoxville, TN to Homer and Boots Russell, she attended Fulton High School. She met her wonderful Don at only 14 years old. Despite her youth, she knew he would be her husband because of his care for her and his hard work to provide for her. In addition to being a devoted wife, Sherry was an amazing “Momma” to her two daughters, Heather and Holly, and a magnificent “Nana” to all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and loved her dogs Forest and Rocky so very, very much. Her sassy but sweet personality made everyone she knew just adore her.
Sherry’s favorite past-times included babysitting and spending time with her family at meals and get-togethers, faithfully attending Garden Grove Baptist Church, where they were members, and expressing her creativity through baking and coloring.
Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Don Wade; daughters, Heather (John Paul) and Holly (Michael); grandchildren, Haili (Cory), Whitney (Charlie), Faith (Erik), Will (Savannah), Hope (Lucas) and Jason; 2 great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Charlotte, as well as a great-grandchild she just learned was on the way to be a part of this special family. She is also survived by her sweet sister, Jamie Ogle, and loving brother, Homer Russell, Jr. (Cherri), as well as her nephew, Tyler. She joined the following people in heaven - mother and father, Homer and Boots Russell; grandmother, Ruby Vandergriff; brother-in-law, Randy Ogle, as well as so many aunts, uncles, cousins, and other dear family.
We rejoice that she is in heaven with so many missed family members, and that she is getting to meet the sweet babies of the family that met our Heavenly Father before they actually met the world.
Service information will be announced at a later time. In lieu of flowers, we kindly ask that you send any donations to Garden Grove Baptist Church, 18131 Stromberg Avenue, Brooksville, FL 34604.
