I have special memories of spending time with the whole family! There were so many folks around all the time that I only remember one time when I was alone with Aunt Shirley. It  happened when you all lived in Cincinnati at the trailer park. Shirley drove me from my house to your house. I sat in the front seat--a real treat at the time! I asked her lots of questions about cars, driving, and directions. I think we even talked about cooking. I remember hearing her say later, "Sandy talked my ear off!" But she said it with a smile. I think she enjoyed it too.

Mamaw, I'm so proud to be your granddaughter. When I graduate law school, I'll be thinking of the smile on your face when I told you I had a job. I miss your hugs and your smile. I love you!

I’ve known Shirley over 50 plus  years.  I actually met her when I started dating Lee.  We didn’t see each other that often but when we did it was like we had just seen each other the day before .  Shirley always had a smile and a quirky sense of humor and was a pleasure to be around.  I have no doubt she has huge smile on her face now that she’s home with her Lord!

Pam, Melissa , Dede and family, Edwin and I are so sorry to hear about Shirley. She loved her family fiercely and with unconditional love for all of you! I loved that look she would give right before she laughed at something she thought was just a bit crazy! She was a precious soul and I know you girls will miss her so much! Our prayers are with your family during this very difficult time. Thank goodness that your family was so close and that you have wonderful memories to keep her alive in your heart!! Shirley wasn't only one of the best neighbors we (the Johnson's ) ever had ,I was proud to call her our friend, she loved my kids like her own. 
She loved God .
Her love for Dave and her kids were beyond compare she always worried about each one of them. And her grandkids she always said they were s blessing. 
She also had a Love for Elvis Presley and she had velvet pictures of him everywhere . 
I remember Melissa and I talked her into having a carport sale one time and we had the best time (not many customers would brave the Dixon hill) but we had a blast and we laughed until we cried . Shirley said we need to have one of these every week 
This is FUN LoL.
I remember when Dave got stung by the bees I rushed up there to help her and Dave while we waited on the ambulance. 
And when Dave came off the hill on the lawnmower wide open and flipped it like 4 times !! After we found out that he was ok Shirley and I and the girls were laughing so hard and Shirley told him he could start racing lawnmower's we were rolling laughing. 
She has longed to go home ever since Dave died , now they are together ❤️ and two of their boys are with them ,as they wait on the rest of the kids and family to come on Home. Rest easy your work here is done my friend , I'll be seeing you

It always brightened everyone’s day at work when she would come in. She will be greatly missed.
