Teresa Norwood Parker

Teresa Norwood Parker, born on August 28, 1960, in Knoxville, TN, passed away peacefully at home on September 14, 2024, in her beloved hometown. She was a vibrant soul known affectionately as “Teesie” to family and "Parker" to her friends.Teresa had a passion for life that was evident in her favorite pastimes. She was an avid supporter of the Tennessee Vols and the Atlanta Braves and cherished every moment spent cheering for her teams. In addition to sports, she loved the beach, bowling, card games and traveling to new destinations, always seeking adventure and creating lasting memories. She is preceded in death by parents, Robert E. Norwood and Mary B. Norwood; and her brother, Kenneth R. Norwood. Teresa was a proud mother to two wonderful children, John C. Parker Jr. of Canonsburg, PA and Stephanie R. (James) Forbes, of Knoxville, TN both of whom brought immense joy to her life. She is also survived by her devoted brothers, Charles R. Norwood and Michael E. (Mary Sue) Norwood; nephews, Cody (Leah) Norwood, Craig (Sydnee) Norwood; nieces, Christina (Luke) Hunley, Kendall (Patrick) Daniels as well as numerous friends and family who will remember her kindness and infectious spirit.Teresa's legacy will live on in the hearts of those she touched, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 until 2:00 PM Thursday, September 19, 2024, with the funeral service at 2:00 PM at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, 2300 W. Adair Drive. Interment will follow at Lynnhurst Cemetery. Condolences may be offered at www.berrylynnhurst.com for the family.
