

Terry Steven Purdom, 67, of Knoxville, Tennessee, passed away peacefully at home on May 19, 2026. Born on November 15, 1958, Terry was a devoted father, proud grandfather, and loyal friend whose steady kindness and hardworking spirit touched everyone who knew him.
Terry was preceded in death by his sons, TJ Purdom and Cooper Purdom; his mother, Myra Purdom; and his sister, Susie Purdom. He is survived by his son, Mason Purdom; and his beloved grandchildren, Maelyn Purdom, Keaira Dickson, and Isaiah Dickson.
A lifelong handyman, Terry worked with his hands and his heart, providing for his family and friends with the same quiet reliability. He loved being outdoors—most happy with a fishing pole in hand, paddling a canoe, or walking creek beds and fields in search of arrowheads. A Big Orange faithful, he cheered for the University of Tennessee through every season. Loved Nascar, his favorite driver was Dale Earnhardt.
Above all, Terry’s greatest joy was his family. He was a steady presence, a gentle teacher, and a constant source of support. His humor, grit, and generosity will be dearly missed and long remembered.
Receiving of friends and family will be held at Berry Lynnhurst Funeral Home, Reflection Chapel, 2300 West Adair Drive, Knoxville, TN 37918, US, on May 28, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm with a Celebration of Life service to follow.
