Thomas A. Davies

Davies, Thomas A. , age 94, of Knoxville, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 21, 2013. He was a member of Beaver Dam Baptist Church since 1957. He was a WWII Combat Veteran in U.S. Army. Retired from Fulton Sylphon Company in 1980, after 44 years of service. Preceded in death by parents, David John and Katie Davies; brothers, David and Clarence; and sisters, Mary Katherine and Helen.

Survived by wife of 62 years, Mary E. Davies; stepson, Danny Gaylor and wife Brenda; grandson, Darren Gaylor and wife Jennifer; great grandchildren, Megan and Josh Gaylor; niece, Carol Hart; great nephew, David Hart; several other nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Sherry Risden and Robin Stooksberry for their loving care.

The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm Friday with the funeral to follow at 8 pm in the Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with Dr. Charles D. Earl officiating. Family and friends will meet Saturday at Lynnhurst Cemetery for a 4 pm interment. Honorary pallbearers are members of the Sanctuary Sunday School Class of Beaver Dam Baptist Church.
