Wayne M. “Speedy” Kyte, age 87, of Knoxville, passed away September 30th. Mr. Kyte was of the Baptist faith and retired from K-25, Union Carbide in Oak Ridge after 30 years of service. He was an avid sports fan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Granville and Lecie Kyte; sister Ruby Mullins; brothers Alvin, Conrad, Jay and Howard Kyte. Survivors include his wife of 64 years Eleanor Kyte; daughter Debbie Ruth (Richie
); grandchildren Brandi Ruth and Brady Ruth; sister Wilma Elmore, along with several nieces and nephews and many friends. Graveside service will be held on Friday at 1:00 p.m. in Greenwood Cemetery.
