William (Bill) McCarter, age 89, of Knoxville went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 20, 2023 at UT Medical Center. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. William was an Alumni of Fulton High School and Baptist Bible College. He was employed by Siler Brokage Company which became Acosta Sales and Marketing for over 50 years until his retirement. Preceded in death by wife of 58 years, Kay McCarter; parents, Willard and Edna (Jones) McCarter. Survived by sons, Brian (Denise) McCarter, Mark (Tina) McCarter; daughters, Vickie Rutherford and Diane McCarter; granddaughter, Lisa (Shayne) Grissom, Josselyn McCarter; grandsons, Corbin Vogt, Colton McCarter; great-granddaughter, Keyley Grissom; sister, Mary Johnson of Xenia, OH; many nieces and nephews.
