William Lee Lindsey, 1931-2016, of Knoxville, Tennessee, completed his time here after a long term battle with Alzheimers. He has taken on a new role in the gardens of Heaven. Bill had a passion for gardening and landscaping that left multitudes of people with smiles. He was a marvelous husband to his wife and a great father to his daughter. He was a member of Bookwalter United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ina and Howard Lindsey.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Elizabeth Lindsey; daughter Cheri Gaddis and son-in-law Tom Gaddis; sister, Jane Rule; nieces and nephew: Wendy, Melony and Luke. The family would like to thank Amedisys Hospice for all of their loving care and guidance throughout this journey: Jennifer, Trudy and Laura.
There will be a short Memorial Service on Friday, November 4, 2016 at 11:00 am in Greenwood Cemetery with Pastor Steven Doyle, officiating.
