

Rucker, Zane Grey, age 85, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, November 11, 2012. He passed peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He was a lifelong member at Arlington Church of Christ and most recently at Farragut Church of Christ. He married the love of his life, Wanda Forbis and they were married 64 years. He served our country in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Zane’s career was in management and auditing with ICI. He had a heart for the under privileged and volunteered in many ministries. He was loved by all who knew him and was a Godly role model and mentor for many. He fought a good fight and was faithful to the end. His legacy will be cherished and continued by his beloved family.
Survived by wife, Wanda Forbis Rucker; daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca Gholston and Lewis Gholston of Franklin, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Tina Beaty and Randy Beaty of Knoxville, TN; grandson and wife, Zane Alexander McHugh and Carleen McHugh of Knoxville, TN; great granddaughter, Addison McHugh; sister and brother-in-law, Alice and H.A. Loy of Halls; bonus grandchildren, Susan Fincher, Cynthia and Frank Latimer, Lynley and Steve Jackson, Jason and Karson Beaty, Blair and Matt Kerr.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:30 – 3 pm with the service to follow at 3 pm in the Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Brother Mark Brackney officiating.
