Abelardo Rodriguez (Lalo) was born in Cadareyta, Nuevo Leon, Mexico, on March 13, 1939. He passed away at Valley Baptist Medical Center on July 29, 2026, at the age of 87.
"Lalo" loved and enjoyed fishing, working in the yard, taking care of his animals, and traveling.
He is survived by his loving wife, Janet; one brother, Juan; three sisters, Estella Garza, Hermelinda Ortega, and Oliva Rodriguez; two step-sons, Martin (Denise) Seifer & Joey (Bonnie) Hastings;
eight wonderful grandchildren, Kalyn Richmond, Alexandria Seifer, Kendra Seifer, Tyler Hastings, Travis McRoberts, Robert, Zachery, Hannah, and Skyler Hastings; nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister Elicia; two brothers, Ruperto Rodriguez and Moises Rodriguez; and one stepson, Barry Hastings.
A celebration of life will be held at his home, Aug 15th at 4:00pm.
