Adelaida Vento

Adelaida Vento, 87, passed away on July 29, 2026. Born on December 11, 1938, Adelaida will be remembered with deep respect and lasting gratitude for a life rooted in faith, family, and the quiet strength of daily devotion.

Adelaida loved nothing more than spending time with her family—especially her grandkids and great grandkids—finding joy in their company and comfort in the bonds she helped nurture. Her days were brightened by simple, meaningful pleasures: tending to gardening, enjoying music, and dancing. She also took delight in cooking and sharing meals, and she was especially fond of chalupa. Adelaida valued community and companionship, enjoying her time at the adult care center, and she remained devoted to attending church.

Adelaida is survived by her children: Ormando Vento Jr (Esmeralda), Oscar Vento, Leticia Vento, Thelma Hinojosa ( Jesus), and Javier Vento ( Dangela).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ricardo Garcia and Francisca Garcia; her daughters, Francisca Vento and Alma Vento; her daughter in law Delia and her siblings; Juan Garcia and Ofelia Castillo.

Visitation will be held at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, Texas 78559, on August 4, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm, and on August 5, 2026, from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm. A Prayer service will be held on August 4, 2026, at 7:00 pm. A Chapel Service will be held on August 5, 2026, at 1:00 pm.

Burial will take place at Restlawn Memorial Park, 14166 Business 83, La Feria, Texas 78559, on August 5, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
