Alfredo Canales entered Heaven on Friday, September 26, 2025, after a long illness. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Edna Canales; children Freddy Canales and Leah (David) Longoria; 7 grandchildren: Kailey, Kambree, Teagan, Khloe, Ryan, Kassidy, and Taryn; 2 brothers, Gilbert (Celia) Canales and Danny (Victoria) Canales. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Matilde Corral, along with nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members who loved him dearly.

Fred was born on May 12, 1956, in Detroit, Michigan to his loving parents, Ovidio and Eloisa Canales who both preceded him in death, along with his brother Javier.

He was a proud 1975 graduate of La Feria High School. He attended TSTI and worked for Coles Cash Registers as a programmer for 45 years. Fred loved traveling with Edna and loved visiting his grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday, October 1, 2:00-9:00 p.m. with the service at 6:00 p.m. at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home & Memorial Park in La Feria, TX. Burial will be Saturday, October 4 at 2:00 also at Heavenly Grace.
