She was the proud business woman of a child care center she ran from her home called "Vasquez Day Care". Amalia had plenty of love to share with the children she cared for.
Amalia is survived by her seven children, 14 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings David Castillo, Joel Castillo and Raquel Castillo.
She is preceded in death by her husband Pedro Vasquez; sister Mary Galvan and Eva Fernandez; her brothers Raul Castillo and Adan Castillo and her half-sister Sabina Garcia.
A visitation for Amalia will be held Tuesday, May 2, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home, 26873 N. White Ranch Road, La Feria, Texas 78559. A burial will occur Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Restlawn Memorial Park, 14166 US-83 BUS, La Feria, Texas 78559.
Amalia will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
