Arturo N. Loya, 78, was born on July 19, 1947, and passed away on February 26, 2026. Arturo was beloved, cherished, devoted, kind-hearted, generous, hard-working, and honest, and will be remembered with deep respect and lasting gratitude by all who knew him.
Arturo retired from Cameron County Public Works after over 20 years of service and later worked as a courier. He was a devoted family man who loved his wife, sons, and grandchildren dearly.
Arturo especially enjoyed dancing at the American Legion in Harlingen every Friday and Sunday. He was also a devoted Chicago Cubs fan, and proudly supported the Texas Longhorns and the Houston Texans. Arturo also had a special kind of love for cats.
Arturo was preceded in death by parents, Manuel & Matiana Loya, and brother, Ray Loya (Genoveva Loya).
Arturo is survived by wife, Connie Diaz; sons, Jaime Loya (Veronica) and Orlando Loya (Delia Limon); sisters, Dolia Vasquez (+Jesus), Maria Betancourt (Lupe), Alicia Dominguez (Mario), and Juana Wyatt (+Herb); and four grandchildren, Gabriella, James, Justice, and Jacob.
Visitation will be held at Heavenly Grace Funeral Home on March 6, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 10:00 pm with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 pm. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday March 7, 2026, at 10:00 am with burial will follow at Restlawn Memorial Park at 11:00 am.
