

Arvelio worked at the Port of Brownsville in the ship dismantling business for close to 20 yrs. and retired from Harlingen Waterworks. Arvelio was an avid soccer fan. Arvelio played an intricate role in the growth of youth and amateur soccer in Harlingen. Arvelio was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother, and a faithful friend to many.
He is survived by his loving wife of 46 years Julia T. Garcia, sons Arvelio Nauri (Veronica) Garcia, and Miguel H. (Nancy) Garcia, his only grandchildren Arya Garcia, Brian Garza, and Carlos Garza. His siblings brother Americo (Amelia) Garcia. His sisters Minerva Jimenez (+ Efrain), Martha Hernandez (Eloy), and Maudelia Garces (Guadalupe). Thank you for being a loving husband and amazing father. You will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be held Friday October 26, 2018 from 1: 00 pm and will continue overnight rosary at 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will begin at 1:00 pm Saturday October 27, 2018 at Our Lady of Assumption. Burial to proceed to Restlawn Memorial Park.
