Camilla was born on March 9, 2020, in Harlingen, Texas, to her loving parents, Gina Renae Martinez and Joshua Isaiah Herrera.
In March 2025, Camilla was diagnosed with Wilms tumor, a rare stage 3 kidney cancer. She began her fight immediately, undergoing chemotherapy and numerous procedures with incredible strength and determination. Her resilience carried her through, and by the end of the year, she was declared cancer-free. Sadly, at the beginning of the new year, her family received the devastating news that the cancer had returned, this time in her pelvic area. Camilla faced this challenge with the same bravery and spirit that defined her journey. Despite every effort, she developed a sudden infection that led to sepsis and septic shock.
Camilla’s smile was infectious, her laughter contagious, and her spirit kind and pure. She had a remarkable soul and left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Though her time here was far too short, she will never be forgotten. Our sweet angel is now at rest.
Camilla is survived by her mother, Gina Renae Martinez; her father, Joshua Isaiah Herrera; and her cherished little sister, Raelynn Rayne Herrera. She is also survived by her loving grandparents, Raquel and Alfonso Cruz, and Norma Alicia Herrera, along with her great grandparents, many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and her extended ECA family.
Any contributions toward her funeral and headstone services are deeply appreciated.
