

Carlos was born on January 30, 1949, in Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas, Mexico to parents Ambrocio Guevara-Rosales and Adela Garcia-Polanco.
During his early life, he moved to Harlingen, TX and attended Valley Baptist Mission Education Center. Carlos then went to Michigan to earn money by sweeping a local church and picking cherries.
As a young man in the late 1960s, he moved to San Fernando Valley, and Los Angeles, California. In 1970, he got married to his first wife, Angelina Goyita (div. 1991).
In 1973, he began a 33-year long career at Riker Laboratories (later 3M) in Northridge, California. He lived in Sun Valley, CA, until later moving to Northridge, CA, in 1980. During this period in his life, Carlos also worked part-time on the weekends at Anheuser-Busch in Van Nuys, CA. He also gained his contractor's license for welding, A/C, and refrigeration in the late 1980s & gained technical training at Los Angeles Trade Technical College and College of the Canyons.
Carlos retired from 3M in 2006 at the age of 57. After retirement, he moved to Harlingen, TX in 2007. Around this time is when he became involved in real estate investment in Harlingen and continued to invest in the stock market.
During his retirement, he was his happiest when discussing finances, loved watching boxing, was an avid reader, and enjoyed classic rock like the Rolling Stone. He loved fixing appliances like refrigerators and A/C units and most of all, he enjoyed having an ice-cold beer with his family and friends.
Carlos is survived by his wife, Sophie Guevara Corella; children, Carlos Guevara, Jr., Luis Alberto Guevara, Daniel Guevara (Dianna L. Guevara), and Karla Hernandez Garcia, (who he raised as his own). grandchildren, Daniel Guevara, Jr., and Demiana Paloma Guevara; siblings, Hermelinda Hinojosa; Martha Orfelinda Cabrera; Ascencion Maldonaldo; Jaime Ambrocio Guevara-Garza; Maribel Salazar; and Elias Guevara-Garza, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Ambrosio Guevara-Rosales, and Adela Garcia-Polanco; brothers, David Guevara-Garcia and Victor Manuel Guevara Garza, sisters; Juanita Guevara Garcia and Ascencion Guevara-Garcia.
