Carlos Ramon Torres, 75, passed away after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
Born and raised in Ponce, Puerto Rico, Carlos carried his heritage with pride throughout his life. He served in the National Guard, a reflection of his dedication, discipline, and strong sense of duty.
Carlos had a personality that was both vibrant and meticulous. He liked things just right, everything in its place, and took pride in the details. He was also naturally silly, always looking for a way to make others laugh, especially his grand kids, and bring lightness into any room.
His love for Corvettes ran deep. It was more than a hobby; it was part of who he was. He spent countless weekends at car shows, proudly showing off his cars, and connecting with others who shared the same passion. Those moments brought him joy and were a true reflection of his personality.
He loved to travel and experience the world, and in his later years, even as Alzheimer’s progressed, he developed a quiet fascination with God’s beauty, finding awe in nature, animals, and the simple wonders around him.
Carlos is survived by his children (and In-Laws:) Carlos Ramon (Karen,) Antonia (Jaime,) Carlos Roberto (Megan,) and Marissa (Jake,) and his seven grandchildren: Iris, Isabela, Ramon, Lola, Montgomery, Cooper, and Huck.
After many years of living with Alzheimer’s, Carlos is now at peace, free from the confusion and struggle that marked his later years. He will be remembered for his strength, his humor, his attention to detail, and the love he had for his family.
