Clementina C Salloum

Clementina Salloum, a beloved wife, sister, friend, author and spiritual guide, passed away peacefully on July 24th 2026 in Harlingen, Texas. She was 69 years old.

Clementina dedicated her life to exploring the depths of the human heart and the power of unconditional love through her writing, speeches, daily life and action. Through her heart worming, spiritual book, “De mi corazón a tu corazón” (From My Heart to Your Heart), she became a beacon of healing and inspiration for countless readers. Her writings transcended the ordinary, offering a profound journey into spiritual connection and emotional understanding that resonated deeply with those who sought meaning, peace, and love.

Known for her warmth, empathy, and unwavering faith, Clementina lived the principles she wrote about. She founded “Angels in the Street” to help the homeless in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, she initiated the Hispanic Catechesis for the Catholic Diocese of Pittsburgh. She spent over 19 years of her youth as hospital volunteer to help the terminally ill and those with liver-transplant and she was awarded Women of the Year for the City of Pittsburgh. An artist and a poet with a Master degree in Theology from Loyola University in Chicago, she expressed her art and devotion through a series of sacred art plays in the churches of Waukegan and Chicago, Illinois, Pittsburgh, PA and Miami, Florida. Her paintings were exposed at the public libraries in Pittsburgh and she was a contributing writer for the Chicago Catholic and Pittsburgh Catholic.

Clementina was a devoted wife, sister and friend and a great supporter for those less fortunate. Her presence was a source of comfort, joy and love for all who knew her..

She is survived by her husband. Ihsan Salloum, brother Antonio Contreras, sister Gavina Baily and her family and a large number of friends/family. Her legacy of love, hope, forgiveness and wisdom will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.

A memorial gathering will be held to honor and celebrate Clementina’s journey. All who knew and loved her are welcome.

VISITATION: on Sunday August 2, 2026 from 5 pm to 10 pm at the Funeraria Memorial Plan Westchester 9800 SW 24th Street, Miami, Florida 33165.

MASS: on Monday, August 3rd, 2026 from 9:30 to 10:30 am at the church of Our Lady of the Little Flower, 2711 Indian Mound Trail, Coral Gables, Florida, 33134.

BURIAL: Monday, August 3rd, 2026 at 11 am at the Graceland Park North Cemetry 4420 SW 8th St, Miami, Florida 33134

Clementina Salloum, amada esposa, hermana, amiga, autora y guía espiritual, falleció en paz el 24 de julio de 2026 en Harlingen, Texas. Tenía 69 años.

Clementina dedicó su vida a explorar las profundidades del corazón humano y el poder del amor incondicional a través de sus escritos, discursos, su vida diaria y su acción. Mediante su conmovedor libro espiritual, "De mi corazón a tu corazón", se convirtió en un faro de sanación e inspiración para innumerables lectores. Sus escritos trascendían lo ordinario, ofreciendo un viaje profundo hacia la conexión espiritual y la comprensión emocional que resonaba profundamente en quienes buscaban significado, paz, y amor.

Conocida por su calidez, empatía y fe inquebrantable, Clementina vivió los principios sobre los que escribía. Fundó "Ángeles en la Calle" para ayudar a los necesitados en Pittsburgh, Pensilvania; inició la Catequesis Hispana para la diócesis de Pittsburgh. Pasó más de 19 años como voluntaria en hospitales ayudando a enfermos terminales y a pacientes con trasplante de hígado, y fue galardonada como Mujer del Año por la Ciudad de Pittsburgh. Artista y poeta con una Maestría en Teología de la Universidad Loyola en Chicago, expresó su arte y devoción a través de una serie de obras de arte sacro en las iglesias de Waukegan y Chicago, Illinois; Pittsburgh, PA; y Miami, Florida. Sus pinturas fueron expuestas en las bibliotecas públicas de Pittsburgh y fue colaboradora escrita para el Chicago Catholic y el Pittsburgh Catholic.

Clementina fue una esposa, hermana y amiga devota, y un gran apoyo para los menos afortunados. Su presencia fue una fuente de consuelo, alegría y amor para todos los que la conocieron.

Le sobreviven su esposo, Ihsan Salloum; su hermano Antonio Contreras; su hermana Gavina Baily y su familia; y un gran número de amigos y familiares. Su legado de amor, esperanza, perdón y sabiduría seguirá vivo en los corazones de aquellos a quienes tocó.

Se llevará a cabo reunión conmemorativa para honrar y celebrar el camino de Clementina. Todos los que la conocieron y la amaron son bienvenidos.
